Bitubo Race Suspension Daytona 675

bitubo 1The 675 is on its way back together and one of the most important parts is done - the suspension! I absolutely love Bitubo so it was only fitting that I use their XXF rear shock, YCE09 fork cartridge kit and steering damper kit. To make the front end a little more evil I decided to send the outer fork tubes out to be anodized black. They came back looking amazing! Since I’ve got the black clip-ons and black adjustable offset triples (-7mm) the front end is a fashion show as well as functional. The first test for this is scheduled for the end of the month so I’ll have more feedback at that time.

bitubo 2The shock is a simple install… more or less plug and play besides the setup. Cartridges are a little more involved, but are still rather simple. The nice thing about these cartridges is the springs can be changed out in a matter of minuets. The stock springs are a little more involved since you have to compress the springs a bit and it helps to use the triumph tool to keep the spring down under the lock nut. At any rate - these are super easy to install and if you compare the quality and precision of the internals it is abundantly clear how much better than stock they are. I can’t wait to do some track testing with these. Soon.
