The 675 is on its way back together and one of the most important parts is done - the suspension! I absolutely love Bitubo so it was only fitting that I use their XXF rear shock, YCE09 fork cartridge kit and steering damper kit. To make the front end a little more evil I decided to send the outer fork tubes out to be anodized black. They came back looking amazing! Since I’ve got the black clip-ons and black adjustable offset triples (-7mm) the front end is a fashion show as well as functional. The first test for this is scheduled for the end of the month so I’ll have more feedback at that time.
The shock is a simple install… more or less plug and play besides the setup. Cartridges are a little more involved, but are still rather simple. The nice thing about these cartridges is the springs can be changed out in a matter of minuets. The stock springs are a little more involved since you have to compress the springs a bit and it helps to use the triumph tool to keep the spring down under the lock nut. At any rate - these are super easy to install and if you compare the quality and precision of the internals it is abundantly clear how much better than stock they are. I can’t wait to do some track testing with these. Soon.
